Don’t have much to post lately. I’ve been working on a couple of long term projects and I can’t share anything yet. Meanwhile here are some tonal warm-up morning sketches I’ve been doing lately.
Sometimes I spend 15-20 minutes to quickly jot down as many as I can to get in the right frame of mind before jumping in the actual work. This is today’s crop. I usually tend to go for a variety of face-figure-place, so I don’t get caught up in doing just one of them. Especially faces. I find that it’s so easy to be lured in overworking them. I used ref photos for Piaf and Elvis, although I don’t feel like using reference for warm ups as a rule. Depends on the mood. Cheers.
